Police Dog, Koda
Hello, Twin Rivers Family!

My name is Koda, and I’m the official Police Dog (or K-9) of the Twin Rivers Unified School District Police Department. It’s my job to help keep our school communities safe and support our amazing students, staff and families. I’m so excited to meet you all on campus and wag my tail at every friendly face I see!

Let me tell you a little more about what I do. As a trained K-9, my sense of smell helps me detect and prevent potential threats, including contraband and other security concerns. I will be around campuses as an extra layer of protection, but also as a reminder that safety is our top priority at Twin Rivers Unified. I love being part of the community - whether it’s visiting classrooms, helping with safety presentations, or just saying hello when I’m out and about!

I’m lucky to work with my amazing partner, Officer Price. We are a team. He’s not just my handler but also my best friend, we both love protecting and serving our school communities.

But Koda’s Corner isn’t just about me - it’s about all of us working together to stay safe and healthy. That’s why I’ll be sharing blog posts and articles every month on topics like safety tips, mental and physical health, kindness, anti-bullying, cyber safety and so much more. You can read all about it on the Koda’s Corner webpage on the Twin Rivers Unified School District’s website.

If you’d like me to sniff out safety or bring a little fun to your school, you can reach out to my friends at the Twin Rivers Police Department. Email us at police.k9@trusd.net or call 916.566.2777. I can’t wait to visit you soon!

Protecting our schools with paws and purpose.
