Safety Applications
Twin Rivers utilizes specific applications to track Police Service actions, assist in cases of incident and/or emergency, screen campus visitors, alert leadership to safety concerns, and more.
CATAPULT: An instant application and web-based communication platform.
CAD: A Police Services-specific application, which tracks all actions involving Police Services.
Gaggle: Safety management platform that monitors and alerts the District to significant online safety concerns with students.
Hall Pass: A visitor management system by which all visitors to a site, during school hours signs in and are background checked.
- Allows for direct communication between all district-level, Police Services, and the site where the incident is taking place.
- Anyone can initiate a CATAPULT alert.
- Drills are conducted on a regular basis to ensure staff understands how to use the application.
- Monthly reports are generated to track incidents. These reports may be used for future planning to increase safety.
- Ensures timely responses to all incidents.
- Allows the nearest Police Officer to be dispatched to a location.
- Prompt identification of wanted individuals.
- Enables the search and location of missing persons.
- Monitors everything in the student TRUSD google accounts.
- Alerts site administration and District admin to situations of potential danger to students.
- Coordination between TRPD and TRUSD to respond in real-time to safety concerns, 24/7, 365.
- Visitors to campus are screened.
- Visitors to campus are required to check in and out at the office.
- Site and District admin are notified when a school visitor is flagged.
