Welcome to Koda's Corner! Meet Koda, our dedicated K-9 officer with the Twin Rivers Unified School District (TRUSD) Police Department. Koda joined the police department in 2023, and since then, he has become an invaluable part of our safety team. This energetic and highly trained chocolate Labrador works tirelessly alongside his handler, Officer David Price, to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors across our district's schools.

 

But Koda isn’t all business! When he's off duty, Koda transforms into a playful, affectionate companion. Despite weighing in at 85 pounds, Koda is convinced he’s a lapdog and never misses an opportunity to snuggle up with his family. He enjoys spending his downtime swimming, a favorite hobby, and running around the yard with both his human and canine siblings. Whether he's out patrolling or chasing tennis balls, Koda brings the same level of enthusiasm and dedication to everything he does.

At Koda's Corner, we celebrate not just his work ethic and commitment to our schools but also his big heart and playful spirit. Be sure to give him a wave if you see him on campus – he's always happy to make new friends!
