Dr. Steve Martinez is recognized as a visionary leader who has embarked on a groundbreaking effort to better connect students to a bright future in Twin Rivers Unified School District. The district serves approximately 26,000 students in Sacramento County.
Under Dr. Martinez’s leadership, Twin Rivers has launched a “Feel the Difference!” initiative that puts new emphasis on teachers, staff and administrators to look creatively for a pathway leading all students to college and career readiness.
“Our commitment is strong and our mission is clear,” says Dr. Martinez, who will begin his tenth year with Twin Rivers on July 1, 2022. “We must inspire each student to extraordinary achievement every day. Our unwavering focus is on educational excellence in all schools for all students, with the entire community working with us to ensure that happens.”
Dr. Martinez holds a doctorate in educational leadership from California State University, Fresno and a master’s degree in cross-cultural teaching from National University.
