In 2017, the Twin Rivers Unified School District Transportation Department was the first school district in the nation to deploy these zero-emission electric school buses. Funded in part by a $7.5 million California Climate Investment grant, using proceeds from CA's cap-and-trade program, these state-of-the-art, zero-emission buses will help to improve the air quality in areas where our children study, live, and play.
To date, our fleet includes 78 electric buses and 30 compressed natural gas buses. Our future fleet will entirely consist of alternative fuel vehicles.
