Daybreak Health
Daybreak Health partners with schools and districts like Twin Rivers Unified School District to provide confidential, evidence-based virtual therapy for students ages 5-19 and families, regardless of insured or uninsured. Their care programs are personalized to each individual’s unique needs. Daybreak Health will provide teletherapy for youth ages 5-19 and their parent/guardians. These therapeutic services are offered to help students and families who are struggling with attention & focus, behavior issues, tantrums, sleep and bedtime routines, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and more. Youth ages 11+ will participate in 1:1 sessions with a clinician and youth ages 5-10 will participate in sessions alongside their parent(s) or guardian(s). Daybreak accepts most Medi-Cal and commerical plans.
How it works:
- Families can submit a Care Request to get started. Students are then matched with a qualified clinician who provides personalized, one-on-one or family sessions.
- School staff can also submit a Care Request on behalf of the student and family.

Appa Health Mentorship
Appa is a free virtual youth mentorship program pairing students ages 13-18 with Certified Wellness Coaches to develop the social-emotional skills and mindsets they need to be successful. An option for care that supports students after school and on weekends.
In 12 weeks, your teen will meet with their mentor for weekly 1:1 video calls while learning how to improve their motivation, deal with unhelpful thoughts, and improve their confidence.
Your teen’s mentor will serve as a trusted listening ear, positive role model, and accountability partner.
Your teen’s mentor will also guide them through a video curriculum that teaches science-backed psychology skills. These bite-sized videos teach teens strategies to overcome anxiety, reduce procrastination, manage stress, and plan for the future.
- Parent phone call with the Appa team to learn more about how they can support your teen.
- Teen opts-in; Appa texts your teen to see if they would like mentorship. Then they help them choose a mentor.
- Online mentorship begins!
- Families can request mentorship on their own, or school staff can submit a requst on behalf of the student.
